Angel In The Family

"A widowed father and his two estranged daughters return to their old family home—and the past—for a special Christmas. Together, they experience an unbelievable miracle: the return of their late mother who has brought from beyond a message reserved only for the living—one of enlightenment, inspiration, and hope."

Childhood memories, lost innocence, and enduring love shape the foundation of a family in transition—and inspire a miracle that becomes its heart and soul…
Sarah Bishop, a struggling, insecure artist and her estranged sister Beth, a successful and ambitious advertising executive, are reunited days before Christmas after their father Buddy suffers a mild stroke. Buddy, who’s never accepted the passing of his beloved wife Lorraine, wants only one thing for the holidays—to return with his daughters to the idyllic community of Trinity, California and to the family home they shuttered and abandoned after Lorraine’s death. With sweet memories of a life gone by comes Sarah’s impossible wish one starry night—that her mother could be there, too.
By morning it’s as if a winter prayer were answered. The aroma of their mother’s vanilla coffee wafts through the air, as does the scent of her freshly baked pies. Her favorite ornament sits atop the Christmas tree, and Buddy’s energy and spirit seem revitalized. He isn’t surprised in the least. After all, he believes in miracles. And a miracle is the only explanation for what Sarah and Beth see: their mother, looking luminous—and very much alive—has come for Christmas. Is it a dream? Buddy implores his daughters not to question it, but rather to accept their mother’s return and to take to heart the message she brings with her. So begins a journey of self-reflection for the entire Bishop family.

I’ve just finished watching this movie a while ago. It’s actually a Christmas movie. I’m very glad I spent my 2 hours watching it. It really is a wonderful movie, and I was crying throughout the story.

Watching this movie makes me realise that sometime as time went by we would forget things whether we like it or not. It just happens. As we grew up, we started to get carried away with our own business, we became individualistic. We started to forget the essence that glued us as family and everyone started to drift away.

But no matter how far we’ve drifted away, we can always find our back if we wanted to, and if someone was kind enough to remind us. Because in the end, family is all that we have.

~ I’m kinda emotional right now. Well who wouldn’t especially after crying for the past 2 hours. But seriously, I’ve cried to almost every scene and everything they said. It feels really good to cry even though it was not really a sad movie. It's more of a self-reflection movie, maybe that's the real reason I cried. I was reflecting on myself!!
